The virtual capo is one of the reasons I updated from the AX8 (this was the feature that got me to pull the trigger). I use it all the time for live work, going down as many as 5 half steps. I also own the Digitech drop pedal and a Morpheus drop pedal. In some ways, VC performs better than these two pedals, in other aspects the pedals are better. The VC definitely causes some artifacts, and you have to be really careful with certain cord voicings. But everything is a compromise. The convenience of VC out-weighs the performance issues... because the performance is still very good... it could just be 'better'.
For the presets with the VC, I find I have to adjust the amp a little different, relative to the same preset without the VC, to get the preset to sound and feel right to me.
Because I use this feature so much, I would love to see it improved by making it more transparent with less latency.
