After Ed passed I bought the EVH Frankie. It put me on a year long journey back into the old tones. I've been playing with 10's on all of my guitars for the last 25 years and it was shipped with 9 thru 46. The lighter string gauge totally lent itself to the way Ed played, IMO. and made it such a fun guitar to play. The pickup in it wasn't the Wolfie, it was the Frankie and it is amazing. I ended up ordering another one from Seymour Duncan's shop and now have it in my HSS Charvel USA.
