It would be cool if the USB A would power external USB (Bus powered) devices (e.g. MIDI controllers), so no additional power source is needed. Otherwise, one may also use this port to send MIDI over USB commands.

+1, would be very useful to power my wireless via 5v USB to 9v 2.1mm adaptor widget I have which is designed to power 9v pedals from a USB power bank.
