Updating Problem

I got stuck on updating…

When I launch Axe Edit, it says:

Version 3.6.1 is available. You have version 3.6.0 installed.

Click "OK"…

Result: Open File dialog box comes up.

How can I update, given that?

I guess it assumes you have the newer version already downloaded locally...
Go to the FAS website and download the new version...
Do standalone upgrade..

The file dialog asks you a location to save the setup before launching it...

I downloaded Axe-Edit 3.6.1 from here:— http://www.fractalaudio.com/p-axe-edit-software.php

After that, I quit and launched Axe-Edit. The dialog box did not appear. Under AxeEdit "Help > About…" shows 3.6.1.

Problem solved.
