Unique guitars

How are the tones?
It's pretty versatile and leans into the more classic direction due to the pickups. It has a long sustain and the tuning stability is very good. I would need to try it right next to my other guitars to make a fair comparison, it has been at my mother's house for many years now (it's the only guitar there).
I really like the look of the bridge, but it's not really good for palm muting.

Here are some interesting ones you might not know about:

I have all of these (a D&S "End of the road", Bender Distortocaster and Gus G1).

The Gittler guitar was mentioned earlier in this thread and it is a beauty. I was an early buyer (it was way cheaper when I ordered it than it is now). It's surprisingly easy to adopt to the "only frets and no neck". But the awkward thing with the design (for me) is that the pickups are very close to the strings, which causes troubles with my picking hand. The sound is like a bridge pickup only (which might be all you need), but as it is Roland-ready, you can use some simulations. It won't sound the same as a GK-pickup, though.

I also have a Teuffel BirdFish, and it's a piece of art, truly. The looks, playability and sounds are all perfect.

I've seen the Gus guitars before, very unique.

Why would the Gittler not sound the same as a GK pickup? It's just triggering the sounds in GR unit.

Oh, I meant the modeled guitar sounds (as in GP-10 or SY-1000), not midi triggered sounds on GR units. The way Gittler pickups are made is very different than a GK pickup and (I think) the part of the string they "hear" is quite far from the bridge (as compared to a well installed GK pickup). Because of this you can't fully compensate the sound difference with just the GK settings in these units, at least in my experience. The sound is moore bassy and lacks a little treble. So you'll need to use also additional EQ.

'Patrick's Dragon'
Here's a unique guitar that I built for my friend Patrick years ago from a drawing he provided.
Honduran Mahogany neck & body w/ a Redwood Burl top. 1960's Gaboon Ebony fretboard.
There's even a picture of Patrick testing his new monster through my Fractal Axe FX 2. Nice!!!

Damn. Just damn.I love the headstock and the volute. The whole thing is just dripping with the look of quality and tone. The inlays are just killing me. Beautiful. Thanks for posting more of your work; this is exciting to see.

Here are a few more instruments from the archives.
Basses. baritone & standard scales. Each one unique in their own way.

Cheers!

This very yellow specimen can be yours for a mere $2,900 and it comes with a custom purple case. The original "cloud" guitar was made for Prince by luthier Dave Rusan but Schecter was licensed to produce copies.

Cool! Apparently, Dave Rusan still makes custom versions of this guitar as well for ~$9,750!! Here is his website advertising as such ( https://www.rusanoriginal.com/ )

And here ( https://www.guitarplayer.com/gear/t...als-the-magic-behind-princes-iconic-solidbody ) is a Guitar Player magazine article from 2022 on this guitar and words from Dave Rusan on the making of this guitar!
