Undecided (Mesa Recto/Triaxis Yellow)

Hey guys,

Been using axe FX II for waaay many hours straight. I'm Kinda undecided in these 2 mesa patches. One of them is a Recto Orange Vintage, another one is a Triaxis Yellow. Can't really tell right know which one sounds better. I think the mesa is kinda boomy, I'm afraid it might interfere in a band context. Anyways, feel free to comment, I'd enjoy to know what you guys think about these 2 patches


 
Are you running 10.06 firmware? If not, you don't have the corrective updates that Fractal made to the Rectifiers, etc.
 
Yup, FW10.6.

Running everything Flat on the recto (Bass, Mid, Treble). Presence at 8.50. Gain at 6.
TS-9 in front
Filter before amp blocking below 140Hz. And STILL boomy :)
Petrucci V30 Ir for both Amps
 
no idea which is which, but the first one has a little more weight to it and sounds better in my opinion. neither sound boomy to me, but perhaps through your amplification system, the first one might be pushing a bit hard in the lower frequencies. try lowering depth or reducing the amount of low freq resonance in the speaker page of the amp block
