These are pictures Ive taken of his actual gear , and their setting from his videos online.

I'd love to hear what people can do with this.

Please post sound-clips and tone patches accordingly.

The Egnater Module is as Follows:

Top Left : Vox AC30 Top Boost

Top Right : JCM100 ( For Ear Candy or Dogman )

Bottom Left : Egnater EG5 (Super Hot Marshall) Says he uses it 90% of the time, or more.

He says he goes form the Egnater Modular Amps, to the Effects(which are Stereo), and then to the Randal Rt250 Power Amp.
He says he uses a Blend of EL34's, and 6L6 tubes. He also refers to this as what he uses his settings for Biasing his tone.

I saw him playing last night, opening night of the UK dates, he used an Axe FX Ultra and two Engl power amps through two Marshall 4x12's, sounded amazing : )

i've sent cliff the schematics, offered my l5, not sure why he wont add it. maybe he experimented and it sounded horrible or something, just like Ty said, it's magical once you find the sweet spot, just like the recto. curious to hear ty through just the axe.

Ty's gear in Europe is always different than in the states. I've never seen him use Marshall cabs in the US. He had Marshall cabs on the Live Love in London DVD too. It's Egnater cabs and Randall power amps over here. The bottom line though, is Ty always sounds like Ty, and he always sounds great!

Last time I saw Kings X, Ty was using the Axe Fx for effects only, I can't wait to hear him now that he's using the amp sims too.

thats because they cant afford to ship cabs and all that weight (cartage) over there, so they use what is on the ryder.

the EQ is different in every pic on the Egnator preamp.looks like he just adjusts by ear until it sounds good for the room.just like the rest of us mortals.probably be better off just picking a particular song from KingsX and trying to emulate that in the Axe.with all the amps,cabs,and Geq,Peq options in the AxeFx,I'd imagine the L5 could be emulated fairly well,with some work and an L5 on hand.

i tried... for some time, almost got the tone in some ways but the way it reacted with the volume roll off and sustain wasnt there. I'll try again in the coming weeks. the l5 really is a different animal. Listen to Pleiades, and the clean to growl with just the volume knob... I know some is the elite strat as well.
