Trying to get a S Bender effect on my Axe 3. Possible Digitech FX3X footswitch to control it?

I own a Boss GT100 and it has a effect called S Bender it does what is shown in video. I am wondering how can do this? I am pretty sure I would use the classic whammy effect. I was thinking of using a Digitech FX3X footswitch . My question is will the Digitech FS3X work, and how would I hook it up? connect it to my FC-12 in the pedal jack or switches jack?

A switch can control shift amount: whammy "control" parameter or "master pitch" for dual or quad shift.

It won't sound quite like the Harmonist S Bend mode using a basic modifier assignment with attack & release turned up. The parameter will move at a fast rate initially then slow down greatly in both directions. An LFO can help work around this, allowing a steady dive and quick return at least, but it's a bit of a hassle to set up.
