Tone Matching Questions

1. If there are two SM57 mics on an amp cab (there is an 8in speaker and 2 in tweeter), both going into a UA Apollo and out in mono to the Axe Fx, how do you mix the two?

2. Can you put two Tone Match Blocks in the same line of a preset?

3. I can't find the instructions on how to export a Tone Match block created in a saved preset to a cab.
I assume then those cab blocks could be mixed in Cab-Lab 3.

4. The IR capture never seemed to sound good. Do I need it if I do a T-Match?

Thanks!
David

1. Once you've summed two signals to mono, there's no way to mix them.

2. There's only one Tone Match block per preset.

3. Edit the Tone Match block, go to the Export page, and follow the instructions.

4. I'm not sure what you're asking.

I think what he's asking about #4 is that do you need to export a tone match as an IR because, from what I've tried, the tone match sounds great but when I export it into "cab block" it doesn't sound the same.

The Tone Match-to-IR conversion is pretty accurate. If it doesn't sound the same, then something else is different in your setup.

Ive had mixed results, some sounded perfect, and some almost sound like a cocked wah was in the circuit. Haven't had time to investigate, but I eliminated it being the actual wah
