tone matching Helmet

This is me trying to do some tone matching,for a Helmet song.
Not me best. Using a Epiphone Les Paul

That's pretty darned close! From the title I thought you had your tone matching helmet on for a sec...

1st (yours, i believe) is 'crunchier' to me - a little more mid-high end, transients are more sibilant somehow,and more harmonic content, but the biggest difference is the bass. I didn't notice until I plugged my cans into my Macbook, but yours is definitely thicker down there.

All in all, I personally like yours more.

I like the first part better. The bass is thicker and crunchier.

It may be better if you adjusted the noise gate or something to tighten up the chugs. There is too much ringing between them now and it isn't getting the effect the original does. I agree the tone itself actually sounds a little better than the original though otherwise.
