+1For those who complain of longer boot times- did you immediately play your tube amp after turning it on or did you wait a bit and let the tubes warm up??? Just curious. I turn my fractal on and by the time I’ve grabbed my guitar and plugged it in, the unit is ready. I just don’t get it- are you seriously needing to play INSTANTLY as you power it up?
While we're at it, I guess we'll need a way to get rid of those pesky Legacy cabs too, if we wish!I'm not understanding why that would have "dire consequences". There's got to be a way to remove Dyna Cabs, if the user doesn't want them. The unit functions fine without them. I used mine for a few cycles before finally installing them and the only downside is having to acknowledge the annoying pop up. At the very least I'd suggest @GuyJames make it a wish to be able to uninstall them.
I do agree with your time estimates.
I'd export the FM9 preset and load it on the FM3. Maybe record a short clip of each. Not sure why, but I seem to like Dyna-Cabs better in the AXE3 than the FM9. May just be the IR I am using on the FM9. I dunno.
Fair point. If a tube goes bad, that's a far worse scenario. All well and good unless you have some kind of failure or lockup requiring a reboot mid song.
They already did, and yes. You don't have to use them, though...so if fas drops dynacabs we all get it like it or not is what I'm hearing, and the only option is to stay at fw prior to its release or accept it and continue to get new fw and features/if any.
Thank you @unix-guy apricate your response, just wanted to be sure that if upgrade I don't loose my ability to use my ml sound lab speaker ir's and my fav. fas stock speaker ir's, so just being cautious before I jump in on v.5, I'll defiantly check out the new dyna cab functionality. They already did, and yes. No problem. Existing factory and 3rd party IRs are not affected at all.Thank you @unix-guy apricate your response, just wanted to be sure that if upgrade I don't loose my ability to use my ml sound lab speaker ir's and my fav. fas stock speaker ir's, so just being cautious before I jump in on v.5, I'll defiantly check out the new dyna cab functionality.

True, the mid-set failure is always a possibility. Things can happen given fluctuations in power, gremlins, the unknown, etc,Fair point. If a tube goes bad, that's a far worse scenario.
It's a matter of perspective I guess. If I'm in a high pressure, good paying gig, I'd have a backup rig running and able to instantly switch to the B rig.
For a weekend warrior type gig, the difference between 15 seconds and 30 seconds for a reboot is not something that I'd be concerned with personally.
I'll report back if catastrophe ensues! To me, the extra boot time doesn't add any more risk and the ease of use for tone tweaking trumps thatNot sure why, but I seem to like Dyna-Cabs better in the AXE3 than the FM9. May just be the IR I am using on the FM9. I dunno.
FWIW for my previous and current FAS system I use a power conditioner from Furman to help keep the power from wonkyness (old clubs, theaters and outdoor venues) from creating too much chaos or noise.True, the mid-set failure is always a possibility. I would be confident that after a few full-run rehearsals if nothing bad happens, it's more likely my FM9 will get through the gig. If I bring my Mark IV head and use it as a power amp, then I've got a backup solution. And if there's a reboot or something that has to happen during the set, the rhythm section can groove for the < 1 min it takes.
