If you have the 4 grand, sure, a parker is a sweet deal, but retrofitting an existing guitar costs less than 10% of that.

Totally understood. But there are models that cost under $750 with the same piezo. There's also the "old" Parkers that sell for about $1000-$1500 used in very good condition and sound amazing.
Personally, I prefer the old Fishman system to the new Ghost. The Ghost is noisy compared to the system Fishman engineered for Parker which they later miniaturized in the Power Chip.
