The Gear Forum mods?

I’m so sorry to even post this here. I’m not sure where to seek assistance.

I’ve been going around the various forums creating accounts since my new FM9 purchase.

When I made an account at thegearforum.com, it was immediately flagged for “automated spam”. Which is obviously a mistake. I tried 4 times to contact the admin of the site for help but haven’t heard anything in the last week.

It’s the only site that has flagged me as spam, I am not sure what that even means.

Are there any thegearforum mods on here that could take a look at my application?

It’s not such a big deal either way, just wanted to get involved with as many communities as I could and am very excited to connect with the different FAS users around the world!

Hey @RevDrucifer - same thing is happening to me. It banned me so I can’t even complete the captcha to email the admin.

I thought I already had an account and tried the ‘forgot password’ as well and it was the same situation. I’m sure it’s a glitch, they will work it out.

Do you have some sort of VPN turned on? If yes, you could try turning it off during account setup which might work - some sites don't get along with interactions where the IP address changes a lot.

Apple’s iCloud Relay stuff is a VPN and the IPs get flagged as high sources of spam by the forum sign-up checks.
