The Dweezil Zappa cello patch?

Sounds a LOT like the violin patch that has been around for a while now. Do a search for violin and I'm sure you'll find exactly what you're looking for.
 
That violin patch apparently requires a synth block, but Dweezil's patch doesn't use it.

I'd like to know how to get this sound on the standard.

Dweezil himself declares it's not far off from 3ChordRock's original. That uses the synth block.

I don't think you can get that tone with an envelope filter. Would be nice if it could, though.
Matman should know. He spent a lot of time tweaking with Dweezil and was quite possibly there when they shot the video. Maybe you should PM him.
