I hated that one, too. I was hoping that they'd get their tesserACT together for this new one, but nope. After One and Altered State, they lost me.

The new album was OK. I enjoyed all of their albums but they have needed to switch up their sound for a while now. The new album literally sounds like a remix of all of their other albums mashed together.

I remember chatting with Acle in the Harmony Central days and checking out his Engl clips. For me Tesseract was one of the 'djent' originators, the first project I'd heard that took Meshuggah's concept and made it melodic while experimenting with the instrumental arrangements - the sax solo being one of them. Great stuff.
