I've read some discussion about the new mac mini having its power button in an awkward place, and it lead to a back and forth about shutting down vs never shutting down. The argument the never shutdown people seemed to settle on was it's not good for the device. The idea being most failures happen during boot up. I don't know if there's any truth behind this, or they were just pulling stuff out of their backsides to one up the people with the opposite viewpoint, but it made me think.
I do my practice sessions in small chunks these days rather than mega sessions, so I turn my Axe FX on and off sometimes as much as 10 times a day or more. I don't care about power consumption. So I was wondering, would it be better for the device to just leave it on all day. Or does none of this matter one bit and people just like arguing over nonsense.
