Switching in and out of Looper function? (live performances)

I use an FM3. I would like to switch quickly to creating a loop and then returning to the "scenes" screen (for live performances), and finally to exit the loop function quickly. Is this possible? If I need to buy the FC-6 I will, but I don't want to by the additional footswitch capability if I still can't switch quickly in and out of the loop function. Thank you.

You could use the FM3 switches exclusively for the looper, and a cheap external switch pedal to scroll scenes up/down
