Stereo cab panning 50% L&R in mono?

I have a mono live setup (one CLR cab) and i started wondering, is it ok to use stereo cab where two IRs are panned 50% L and R?

I played with stock presets today and to me they sounded bad, if i centered the stereo cab IRs and then again, they sounded great at stock setup panned 50%. That had me thinking, if there is something "wrong" if i use stereo cab in mono setup.
