Spdif as output

Hello fractal peeps! I just got an Axe Fx III. I Didn’t have enough time to figure things out so I just played it a little bit. Sounds awesome as always with Fractal products. But can anyone enlighten me how to use spdif as the output instead of using output 1-4?

Check the I/O settings on the Wiki, and change ins and outs as appropriate for your setup. You need to select SPDIF. And then set as Input and Output.

Can you elaborate on this? I checked it but there is actually no Spidf output block.

SPDIF is by default linked to Output 1, but is not effected by the OUT 1 knob on the front panel.
Make sure the settings where Cliff directed you look like this

Volume when using spdif is usually controlled by the unit you are plugging it into.

I assume that the clock setting on the interface have to be set to spdif?

It was actually my interface set to 44 kHz instead of 48 kHz. Problem solved when I switched it to 48 kHz.

Just make sure that either your interface or your AxeFX has it's clock source set to "External", or else you'll end up getting some really weird noise if both units are running off their own internal clocks.
