So much for the build quality of Rocktron midi cables...

Been using a Rocktron 7 pin midi cable with my Axe/MFC for maybe 6 months or so...last night it started not transmitting data correctly and I had to use my backup cable...a HOSA! LOL
 
Good to note that you were able to overcome the challenge.
Nothing quite as embarrassing as having something die mid-gig and not be able to continue as there's no backup. :eek:ops

Rule of Thumb: Always have a backup.

Seems to have gotten the best reviews from those in-the-know. One of these will be my backup, when I get gigging out...I have a Rocktron now.



How to Protect your midi cables , etc.....


Also, consider "protective cable wrap" for the chord...I use this plastic slit 3/8" tubing around my cables/chords which run along the floor..I use 2 together to get long length..here is a link to what works well:
