I think it's cooler to have the sleeper model I have. An unassuming "Gen 1 Axe FX II with the G2 technology logo".

But under the hood, it's a fire-breathing G3, baby! Challengers beware!

FYI, The current Mark II says "MARK II" where it used to say "G2 MODELING TECHNOLOGY", and the XL says "PREAMP/EFFECTS PROCESSOR". I guess we can just cut the "G3" off one of our Joe Satriani, Steve Vai & rotating-guest-shredder DVDs and tape it over the G2. 8)

Cool. I've got the classic AF2 markup. To me this gives me the advantage of deception: I look like I'm using G2, really I'm armed, and up-armoured, with G3.
