I'm working on a slash use your illusion patch (the legendary Marshall # 34 mod).

just a quick test done to get closer to the illusion sound
the notes are not right .... never mind

1) right next door to hell part
2) live and let die + part + solo
3) don't cry part+ solo
4) double talkin' jive part
5) civil war part
6) knockin' on heaven's door part + solo1 + solo 2
7) You could be mine part

let me know what you think....
above the cd is quite the same.

Preset is here http://axechange.fractalaudio.com/detail.php?preset=2533

Awesome job! Is it one of the stock cabs or Tone Match block? How about the guitar... Are you using Alnico IIs or stock LP pickups? Care to share the patch? I've been trying to get this tone for years!!

The cab is the Utra res II 4x12 Brit v30 ... (slash use this cab today, but on the Illusion album (only) he used the Greenbacks...) .
Pickups are Alnico II ....
I will continue to work on...
definitely will share in the next days.
How much difference do you think the Alnico IIs make to getting the Slash tone (over stock LP pickups)?

Alinico II are important but not crucial in my opinion ,
the difference is the 'eq in the final result.

The real #34 is a very saturated head that he only uses in the studio because of the difficulty of handling.
Full master volume , very little gain and speaker abuse :)

Another thing is the # 36 (appetite for destruction) because it has been lost and no longer exists.
is, however, a totally different sound.

(I have an identical modified marshall head that after many tests on the backtracks and under the tips of frank levi, a qualified technician made me ).

In the solo albums and in the revolver era the sounds are still different

Really looking forward to this patch! Also, can't wait for Cliff to create the AFD100 correctly in the Axe :D

AFD is right in the Axe fx ...
is only an amp that does not sound like the real # 36....
in comparison with my mod Marshall #36 sounds like an old Am radio. ( i have both amps... )
Cliff should put the #34 mode instead, which is very similar to the true, (although in marshall have changed some parts tough)

Not to vid-bomb your thread. I think your clip is quite good.
Wanted to also post this, which is an Axe-Fx II in the hands of Fractal artist Stephen Chesney:

Fantastic....this is the result in a mix
But I think that the sound of the neck pick up solo is not correct...

Admin M@ I'd like to have his patch...
to understand the differente roads we have taken.

Most probably we will see Slash signature amp in a future firmware, or an amp that gets you dead on to that sound, but you have done a great job!.

Congrats.
