Diesel macanic. Been collecting them for quite some time. Bought my first Charvel in 90'. For Charvel guitars my place is like the hotel California

I bought this in 1987. I traded in a white Kramer Focus 1000 (Chris DeGarmo inspired purchase.) plus about the same amount of cash I paid for the Kramer to get it. I think it was something like $1250 CAD at the time IIRC. Les Paul Studios were going for $750 at the same time! They were not pointy enough for the times I guess. I wanted a soloist but they were unobtanium money for me so I squeezed to be able to afford this one.

It was originally a black cherry semi metallic finish. I kind of miss it being stock.

The Model5 is and was as good as soloist then in my mind, they had a lot of the same parts, unless you were looking at custom shop
