Very nice idea. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure there are no inverted characters available on the MFC display, so we're back to square 1 in terms of a GUI implementation plan.

Could letters be used instead of the X before the patch number?

A-H for scenes 1-8?

Well if it's an option you could keep all the characters while those who dont want to could see the actual scene
