Implemented S/Pdif and AES combined?

Is it possible in FW to allow for using the spdif output and AES input simultaneously?

This is simply a studio routing need for me. I'd like to bring in a preamp that only has AES outs, into the Axe... and send it out the spdif outs.
 
Both outputs already operate simultaneously. It's the input that you have to select between.
