Roland FC-300 and Axe FX II via Cat 5

Has anyone had any success using the FC-300 and the axe fxII via the cat 5 cable (ethernet connection)?

I'm curious to know if it works. i.e. it will power the FC 300? Can it be used as a standard foot controller this way?

i would not plug anything other than the MFC in that port.

That would most likely be a VERY bad idea. As was said, that port is for use with the MFC only. It will not work with any other device and could damage your equipment.
