Wish Restore lost CPU capacity from last two FW updates

I just updated from FW8 to 10. My main preset worked perfectly for years and hundreds of gigs. Now, if I want to stay on FW10 I have to remove two blocks to get it under 78%. At 78% CPU capacity the unit starts acting sluggish. Before FW10 I had one preset that I used infrequently at 81%. No sluggish behavior, and no issues with audio...

I feel like we've lost a considerable amount of functionality for a subjective level of audio improvement...

I had the same problem. I had to replace my compressor types with either JFET or Rockguy, and eliminate or consolidate some other blocks as well in the worst cases. Also, make sure you have the Room Level parameter in the Cab block set to zero. The FM9 is underpowered for my needs (especially in light of the lack of Smoothing), but I've managed to make it work with careful resource management and a ridiculously long and tedious process to smooth the impulse responses.

Yup, I found those culprits. Still wasn’t enough and had to remove two blocks.

If you think this is bad, I have an fm3…. I regret buying it. Too underpowered. Especially non turbo. I have it in a case and bring it to gigs as a backup for my fm9. (Turbo). The fm9T is perfect right now. I can keep my axe 3 at home so it all became extremely portable.
