Recording mono Dry, DI and stereo FX on seperate channels

Hi, I am about to purchase an axe fx 3 for studio use and have been researching recording options but havent found a clear answer on this and havent tried one yet to work it out.

I want to know how to record a mono patch with a mono DI signal and then the stereo FX onto seperate tracks simultaneously.

I use Cubase with an RME UFX interface so the Axe Fx 3 wont be my main interface. Does this mean I have to run the outputs via Analog? Or is it still possible to use USB? I would still like to easily reamp the DI signal when I need to. I will be using Axe Edit.

Cheers.

This is very straightforward when using USB. Record USB 1/2 for Stereo signal and USB 5 for DI.

Analog, you'd record Out 1 LR for stereo and then Copy Input 1 to Out 3 in the setup menu and use Out 3L for DI.

I'm not familiar with Cubase but I can't see why you wouldn't be able to switch between USB Axe and your RME at will.
