Wow, I've had a bit of a tough night here trying to get this to work.
What I want to do is record and play back dry DI tracks via Cubase to my Axe-FX II. I have an Audient Evo 8 as my usb interface and do not want to use my Axe-FX via USB in Cubase because of this.
I had an unbalanced cable from the Axe to my Audient instrument in and managed to record DI tracks through this when I added an FX Loop block.
But I couldn't get the dry DI to play through the Axe's inputs. I ran a balanced cable from one of the Audient outputs to the Axe FX Return L.
Placing a Feedback Return block before my amp block didn't send the sound back to the Axe. Routing the FX Loop to the input of the amp block caused loud feedback when trying to monitor defeating the ability to tweak amp settings from a DI while listening to the mix.
Why is this not working?
