Real preamp in to model amp effects return?

I have a real ada mp1 and a marhsall jmp1 and I know people have said it sounds best to push it through a real amp and or amp model. Ok as of now I have it running in to the axe fx through the FX loop then just in to a cab not going in to an amp. But I have seen some people say to use certain model amps with it, but how do i do that and have going in to the model amps effects return and not the model amps main input if I am saying it right?

There’s no effects return on the modeled amps. Try the Tube Pre model. It’s a very neutral amp model. Alternatively, you could use any amp you like, and change the Tone Stack to Tube Pre.

Either way, keep the Input Gain turned down so you’re not overdriving the Preamp In the amp model.
