Question About Treble Boost

Can someone please offer me some understanding of what the 'boost' and 'set' controls on the Rangemaster do, and how to emulate them with the AxeFX?

Boost was a switch and engaged the effect. Set was the amount of boost and is equivalent to Drive.

Maybe it's not the right place but on the wiki it says silicon treble booster... wasn't it germanium?
EDIT: ok the model is silicon, the rangemaster was germanium.

Yes. Early Dallas Rangemasters used one germanium transistor. Either an OC44 or OC71 I believe.
