Puzzling amp block latency

I've got an amp block which exhibits extreme latency (40 ms) for some reason. Resetting the current channel doesn't help. Changing the amp type From Angle Severe2 to Atomica High fixes it, but changing the type to other types, like Archean, doesn't fix it. Firmware 24.03. Anybody have any ideas where the problem lies?

Are you using Ideal or Authentic?

If you change to another "not working" type and then reset does it go away?

Tried changing Tone Stack or maybe power tube or preamp tube types?

I should mention it doesn't feel like there is 40ms of latency, but measured over usb with rtl utility, it reports 40 ms.

Doing a reset with another type doesn't help. I've tried changing tube types, but that didn't help.

Only measures 1ms here which is exactly as expected.

Those utilities are not terribly useful for measuring things that are nonlinear.

You're right, that's the explanation. If I turn the gain down it's fine. Thanks.
