Off the wall new AxeFx observation (weird bolts on the front

Had the Standard and just got an Ultra. On my new unit there are two screw/bolt things sticking out just left of the "layout" and "effects bypass" buttons. My Standard didn't have those and neither did older models of the Ultra from pics I found on the web. Why were they added I wonder. I am not used to them and they are kinda in the way of my fat fingers hitting the aforementioned buttons. Wonder why they were added? Let me add that it's no big deal, just curious. :ugeek:

My Standard has them, and I've had it for a year now. Are you sure you're not crazy? :lol:

My Standard has them, and I've had it for a year now. Are you sure you're not crazy? :lol:

Older units didn't have the screws. The really early units also had a finger indent on the value knob.

The screws are there to hold the mojo in. Sorry for those who don't have them

That's because the unbolted have Cliff's own sweat in them.


It was changed with the advent of the outsourced manufacture somewhere April 08. Mine is from the first batch or so that came out of the container and has the bolts.
Never bumped into them though.
