The 20/20 is more than loud enough. I use it with the volume close to 12 o'clock at rehearsels with a fairly loud drummer (metal/rock). At gigs I normally have to turn it down a bit.
If you think you won't have enough volume, switch the tubes with tubes that brake up later. check Eurotubes - Vacuum Tubes by JJ Electronic - ECC83, 12AX7, 6L6. 6L6GC, EL84, EL34, KT77, KT66, KT88
I really like the sound of my 20/20 through a Mesa Recto 4x12 cab. The 20/20 sounds much better than my old 295. Less mud and better mids.
