No sound panned right when using headphones [NOT A BUG]

Hello everyone! I'm still fairly new to the axe-fx II (or any digital pre-amp for that matter) seeing as I've only owned it for a couple of months. I recently ran into a problem where whenever I have headphones plugged into the headphone jack nothing comes out of the right side. And yes I know for a fact that the headphones are working properly because they work fine when plugged anything else. Also I'm using a pair of gaming headphones plugged into an auxiliary to instrument converter if that helps at all.

Instrument converter. Sounds mono to me.

Can you try an eliminate other variables. What happen if you plug a pair of stereo headphones directly into the Axe-fx? Unless by Aux to Instrument converter you mean 1/8" to 1/4" adapter?

it's the adaptor. look at this pic - http://lauriegoldsteincsp4project.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/mg09jackplug.jpg - if the jack plug looks like the one on top, then it's mono and you'll only hear it through one ear. it needs to look like the one on the bottom.
