"No Response Received" when updating from FW 6 to 7

Hey everyone.

I'm trying to upgrade my FM9 to FW v7 from v6, but no matter what I do, I always get this error message part way through...


USB version is up to date, tried to update both from standalone Fractal Bot, and Fractal Bot inside an already update FM9 Editor.

To state the obvious, my FM9 is, indeed, on and connected.

Any insight? Thanks!

Try another USB cable.

Try another USB port.

Try downloading the firmware again.

Also, try a shorter USB cable.

Update: it was indeed the USB cable. It's odd, because it still communicated with FM9, and Fractal Bot saw the FM9 just fine, but I guess once it got to updating, it just couldn't hold on? Interesting. Thanks for the suggestions. Sometimes, it's the most basic thing that blindsides us, haha.
