No amp or cab is working. need help. all up to date and fx work, just no amp or cab sound at all. Thanks for any and all help! K
 
Did you setup as the manual outlines?
Do you have all blocks connected from Input to Output?
Do you it connected properly to your interface, FRFR, etc?
Do you have the correct volume knob AX8 front panel turned up?
Etc………..

So your effects work but you are not hearing the amp/cab?

Is there a global setting on the AX8 that you might have turned off/on that might have turned off the amp/cab?

Did you try any different instrument cables for the outputs (TS only and not TRS)?

Did you try different outputs (there is several of them and you might have routed an output) and different output sides (i.e. right side instead of left side)?
 
A friend of mine had purchased an AX8 and he started pushing different buttons trying to change the preset and then the AX8 stopped having any amps/cabs being heard in the presets.

He thinks he had accidentally changed something that silenced the amp/cab on the AX8 (not the On/Off option in the Global Settings).

Do you it connected properly to your interface, FRFR, etc? only use for me is direct through PA/powered speakers for live shows. all 4 outs are the same. no audible amp model or cab sounds. only the fx are working.

Does your cab block have a cab assigned to it? yes

Missing shunt between blocks? no


Post Preset Please. same thing with all factory presets

I just
Reinstalled the latest firmware
Reinstalled the latest factory presets
and
Performed the RESET SYSTEM PARAMETERS in the Utility Menu. - after hitting enter here it went back to the RESET SYSTEM PARAM message with no other confirmation. is that normal?

I still have no audible amp model or cab sounds. only the fx are working, just like before.

I must be missing something... just can't figure it out

Post a screen shot of any preset to show the grid layout. Just curious to see it.

Also maybe post a screen shot of the amp block.

Interesting that you are getting the effects sounds but no amp or cab.
 
There isn’t anything that stands out in the screenshots and I read that you reset System Parameters.

What are the I/O settings? Need to navigate on the front panel interface to find.
 
All I/O looks good. No idea at this time what it might be.

If you don’t have it figured out by end-of-day I will jump back in when I get home later.
