Nice Axe FX vid from our Europe tour...

Looks great. Must be a blast touring with the original!

Played that song for an audition last year. Didn't get the job. Wasn't too sorry about it, the singer was no Melissa! @3pm she was hammered and forgot the words to this song which she proclaimed was her favorite ever.

I made a patch for this song. Plugged my Ultra into a Peavey Bandit's line-in and still sounded great. Bass player was really curious.

ah the trusty peavey bandit.that was my first amp when i was 17 and had a lot of good times jammin in the garage with it.i was just happy to graduate from jammin air guitar in front of a mirror with a broom  mr. thorn you sound awesome as usual.every clip i see with you well your tone kills.

Has Milssa said anything about the Axe? or does she even care. I know some performers are more into the performance than gear I was just curious as to which type she was..

Sixstring-

she really hasn't said one word about it- the crew was more concerned than anyone, and once the monitor and front of house engineers heard it, they were surprised and happy. They call it "The Magic Box", haha. And of course, compared to shipping a traditional rig to Europe- well, there is no comparison. The savings is huge. Many thousands of dollars. So it really works out in everyone's favor...

I still love amps (especially my PT100) very much, and my killer 12 space rack, but I love having the Axe FX-as-full-rig option too, it makes good sense to use it in many cases.

No doubt about the money savings not to mention ease of setup. With your kind of work demand it appears to fills a niche. I couldn't imagine having to worry about shipping a rack or tube rig over sea's.

It figures that she wouldn't be into it but hey I guess she really doesn't have to be :? .

After so many years, don't think Melissa would care until the tone wasn't right. No comment means "it's all good!". Sounds great.

Thanks for posting that Pete.

The best thing you said was 'I love my tube amps, I love my 12 space touring rig, cabs, and moving air, but the Axe-FX gets really really close direct where I don't feel like I've compromised'. Would wish that more people on the flame circuit (TGP!) would accept that we don't have to choose one or the other...

Sounds like a fun tour. Playing is as usual phenomenal. Like to see you all in Denver.

Ron

Outstanding.

You never seem to be a guy that's above about talking to 'regular folks' like us, you suffer fools patiently and very well on the Net, and you are actually 'out there' doing it for real. That makes you one-in-a-million Pete. I imagine there are thousands of guys 'out here' that see you on the Net, on TV or at a show and turn to their buddy and say, "Hey, I *know* that guy, he's a friend of mine...." and mean it.

I for one love stuff like this and if you ever are in the Detroit Metro area and need a free beer or a place to crash for a night, you don't need to worry about it - I got your back.

Thanks for sharing and keep living the dream man!!!

Thanks Scott P!
