On another note, do you guys know if it's possible to use the Nova System as a midi controller for the Axe-fx II?

Not very well; the MIDI implementation on the Nova System is limited to on-unit preset changes only, and the CCs it sends are based on what effects you have turned on, not programmable.

The Nova System pales in comparison to the FX8, both in sound quality and flexibility. But for straight MIDI control purposes I wouldn't choose the FX8 either. Just get an MFC or RJM, unless you need a small footprint, in which case get an MC6. Any of those options will blow your mind compared to the Behringer.

Wow, that MC6 looks like a little beast! Just saw a video where firmware 2.0 allows for tuner feedback! I may just sell one of my FCB1010 (I have three, don't ask...) and get one of these bad boys. Thanks for the info!

I am starting to wonder if something like a Friedman ASM-12 FRFR cab would help..... be able to use IRs, but also have more of the cab in the room feel......
