It's growing on me. I still think Meliora is there finest work but I like Impera better than Prequelle.

Impera is what Prequelle should have been. Meliora is still a bit better, though. I only wish the production (of Meliora) would sound a little more modern like the newer albums.

Does anyone else hear digital clipping all over the thing?

Yes! That drives me absolutely nuts. So many good albums I just can’t listen to because of that. It’s ok to clip sometimes when laying to tape, but digital? Hell no.

I've come to the conclusion, that what I was hearing...is an odd mixing choice. An echo on a ride cymbal.
