surprisingly well. certainly loud enough. the klark teknik dsp helps alot as it's not flat (but close enough). you can get it dialed in really well though. it doesn't have the bottom end of a clr so you need to be mindful of that or else your presets will be too low end heavy in the pa. i think it's excellent for monitoring your guitar, i probably wouldn't use it stand alone without pa support. i need a 2nd one anyway so i'm curious to try it in a stereo rig but they're sold out again. in the end i won't ditch my clr's but for $450 you can't go wrong
