Just came back from my son's school assembly, where his band did a couple of Linkin' Park numbers for the whole school.

That's my son on the left in this photo (He's 12). He 'borrowed' my Ultra for this gig, and you can see it sitting on the very high tech stand on the left...

I guess I am overcompensating, because I never had this sort of gear when I was young and started playing... I had to beg/borrow/steal amps for many years...
