Need some help isolating a guitar track

Try VirtualDJ (https://www.virtualdj.com/) It is free unless you want some of the advanced features. It takes a few minutes to figure out but essentially it helps DJ’s remove music or vocals from a song in real time but is fantastic for guitarists. I have not tried it on your track but have on quite a few others and it is a great way to get your own backing track, remove vocals, remove the drums and leave the vocals etc.

Update - this took 10 seconds to setup. With a little effort you could do better but gives you an idea of what can be done. -

He's got a vast range of styles. My personal fav stuff of his is with his band Scar Symmetry. It's melodic death metal, which I'm not a huge fan of, but Scar Symmetry are phenomenal.

I use moises.ai. It claims to be AI driven. It's not perfect, especially when there is a lot of instrumentation, but I use it a lot when learning cover tunes because I like to get them as accurate as possible. While I grumble about it some times, it has exposed some nuances of guitar parts in songs that I never knew existed having played them for a decade.

What I like about the site is that they will attempt to separate the song between a range of track selections you choose (e.g. lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, drums, keyboards, other). Each track can be muted or the sound adjusted. So, you can mute everything except the lead guitar, learn the song, and then mute only the lead guitar to play along.

I've also found that I learn the song more completely if I lower the volume of the other tracts and boost the guitar. My brain locks the phrasing in context with the background faster this way.

Again, it's not perfect, lots of bleedthrough from keys to guitar. But, for me, it's the best I've found so far.

Thanks for sharing. That’s awesome. That isolated guitar shows just how unique his tone is. Sounds like keyboard or synthesizer. Has anyone recreated this tone for fractal?

Last night, I spent literally 10 minutes creating a backing track:
Used Audio Hijack to record Khruangbin's August 10 from Apple Music.
Opened the file in logic, selected it and clicked Stem Splitter.
A couple mins later, Logic has tracks for Drums, Bass, Vocals and Other (guitar + misc).
Mute the "Other" track and voila! Backing track.
 
The best I have seen so far is on MVSep website. There is an algo named MVSep guitar which uses an ensemble algo that worked for me much better than anything else. A close second one was RipX Pro.
 
I've split guitar from backing, but the files are too big for the Fractal forum. If you give me a location to put them or an email address, I'll send them over.

I know this an ooooold thread but another vote for Moises, and Per Nilsson is just ridiculously good. His work in Scar Symmetry and Kaipa are two flavours of the same brilliant technique!
