My wife rates the FX 3

I was so fortunate, on the way to DT's show SFAM, we were listening to the CD, and my wife at the time was really digging the lyrics. Plus she always came to my gigs. She didn't know if my tone was any good though. :D

I was "practicing" the other night and playing the Dream Theater chestnut "Pull me Under." No, I can't play it worth a flip by the way but I can do the chunky intro ok. When I was done, she said, "you know, in the 25 years we've been married, I think that was the closest to the studio sound of JP's guitar you've ever had." What's even more praiseworthy of the FAS team is the fact that I was just using preset 13 (USA Mk IV) with very few tweeks on my end. I was running a SD PS700 into a defunct Trem-O-Verb combo with V-30's and it was pretty glorious.
“That’s not music, that’s just noise.”- My mom

“I wish you could play guitar without making any sound.”- My wife

When I got into music, my mom was luckily super supportive, as long as I'd play her blues licks. And also, never, ever, ever wake her up.

My wife just wishes I'd play drums more
