VOX boxes are all over recordings and big bands/artists, but somehow, here they're associated with U2 only (when I consider what makes the Edge the 'EDGE' things completely outside the actual amp.)

I go a step further down that path. Except perhaps for U2's earliest releases, I don't even consider his tone to be a definitive example of the amp. I think of Brian May's or Mike Campbell's tone long before the Edge when AC30s come to mind.

When I think Vox.... Beatles and Kinks are the first to come to mind.
