My cheap expression pedal doesn´t work with the Axe-Fx. Why?

Hi,

I bought this pedal for my axe-fx:
http://www.thomann.de/de/lead_foot_lfv1.htm

I connected the output of the pedal to the input 1 (for pedals) on the Axe-Fx (used a guitar cable). Then in the I/O section I configured the pedal.

But If I want to control a Parameter like a wahwah or the volume it´s almost like the thing is dead, its moving (visiable on the display) but only slightly.

Can you recommend any good (expression) pedals for the axe-fx?

Greetings Sebastian

It's a Volume pedal. Not an expression pedal. If you have an insert or splitter cable, Y-cord (all the same thing, stereo to dual mono jacks, like this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_sssnake_ypp2010.htm ), you could try using that. I'm not sure what the value of the pot in there is, but it might be workable. Otherwise you'd need to exchange the pot for a 10kohm type. Or just send it back for this one: http://www.thomann.de/de/lead_foot_lfx1.htm

This may be converted to an expression pedal with some soldering. You'd need some stereo wire (mic cable will do fine) with a TRS-Jack (stereo klinke). Just wire it up like here: http://www.instructables.com/id/SFU4APIF0R12VEO/
What you need is in step 2.

Ich glaube schon.

Ich denke dass es in qualität nicht zoviel schielt. Aber die M-Audio sieht besser an.
Hast du schon das splitter schnur probiert?
