Midi controller + FAS FC controller can be used simultaneously?

If using faslink to connect to FC controller, can i also use midi controller on midi port to expand the number of buttons?
Will these controllers sync the IA states? for example if i change presets using Midi controller, will FC controller notice the change and reflect the changes?

Should work. The FCs are clients so they know when something else has changed something.

Can i run bi-directional midi at the same time as fc12 ? I have preordred 2 fc-12 to meet my needs but if i could run preset and scene change from midi and run yhe rest from one fc12 I'll be happy
