Mic Settings on Mac Messing with Input to Logic - Heads Up

I've reported this to Apple after a painful Saturday trying to resolve it: The Mic settings effect the input of external devices (e.g. via USB) to Logic Pro. For example, I have a Fractal Audio device which is connected by USB to Logic Pro. If you turn off "Microphone" for Logic Pro in Privacy and Security, it also turned off my signal via the USB even though this is clearly not a microphone. I turned it off because in some apps, the Microphone setting jumps to my phone (v frustrating). Anyway, one would not expect this to block other inputs but clearly this case in Logic Pro shows it does. Note also that when Mic mode is on (and you need it to be for the signal to get from your Axe FX into Logic), it also effects the input level: if in voice isolation mode, the input signal from my Fractal device is lower than in standard.
