mic in?

Does anybody know if there's a mic input on the XL+?
I'd like to mic my cab and use the Axe as an interface.

You'll need an external preamp for the mic. Axe has line level inputs.

This is really the only thing I would change about my II. If it had phantom power, it could 100% replace all my other gear. This was a big selling point for the Helix. Still glad I went with the Axe-FX though. lol

I've tried a line matching transformer with a mic on my 1st gen Axe-Fx II and it did not work too well (couldn't get a hot enough signal for my liking). Some of the ART project preamps should work pretty good.

I used an old Shure A95U Line Matching Transformer. It boosted the signal a little, but not enough to be useful.
