Hello fellow Axers!
It has been the pleasure of my life to record these guitar parts over this great backing track.
First I have to say that I’m more than impressed of the simulations Cliff made possible within this Axe-FX II XL+. These amp sims are mind blowing . All sounds are direct recorded with no post effects or EQ added straight into Reaper. The guitar used is a JEM505.
I recorded all clean part with the USA CLEAN and “Clark Kents Step” CAB IR with a blend of “GuitarHackThisOne V30” CAB IR.
The rhythm part has the cleanest path using “surprise” the magical USA LEAD with the same cab IR´s as for the clean.
For the solo I used USA LEAD with the same cab IR´s as above. I also was lazy and mixed in an auto Wah (nice feature) and of course chorus, delay and reverb.
I do hope you like the punchy Mesa feel in this great classic song that will be loved many years to come.
PS. If anyone would like to try the the patch I think it can be uploaded somehow DS.
Cheers Charvel
